Street Style Guide – 5 ways to level-up your shirt look

Regardless the weather, season and occasion – shirt looks are always the ones you can rely on, especially during ‘I have nothing to wear’ periods. Either you’re going for lunch with your girlfriends, hot date with your love, business meeting or your partners’ parents invited you for diner, shirt is always a safe style choice.

Unfortunately, sometimes safe can also mean… dull. I created 5 solutions, inspired by Street Style, to help you to style-up your shirt game!

jewel-up

Spice it up with accessories! If you want to stand out in a shirt and a pencil skirt look, choose a bold jewellery – layered up bracelets will be an ideal solution for important business meeting! They will not distract, but will definitely make you remarkable. Also, sleek centre-parted low ponytail and ‘no make-up’ make-up will double power-up this outfit!

knots

I love knotting my oversized shirt (usually stolen from my partner) for an effortless effect. Plus, it’s really complementary if you’ve paired your shirt with statement bottom, like sequin mini dress or high-waisted leather trousers! It’s also an ideal transformation of your work uniform to a cocktail hour look!

loose fit

Size up your shirt for a volumize effect. It’s a perfect elevation for either a total-oversized or skinny jeans and heels look! To create an effortless chic look, style it with your favourite coat during cold season and, necessary, XXL sunglasses.

layer-up

Shirt worn over a turtle neck is one of my favourite and original ways to layer up. To level it up even more, wear cardigan or boyfriend style blazer on top of it. You can go even more crazy, by styling this already double layered look with trench and chunky scarf – come on, it’s getting very cold, especially in the mornings!

statement touch

Christmas party season is coming! Styling your basic white shirt with statement skirt will be an effortless and effective (my personal favourite duo) solution for this occasion! Either if you’re going for neon pencil skirt, fringed maxi or sequin midi, basic shirt with bravely undone few top bottoms will look just perfect with it. Don’t forget about a cute micro bag and strappy heels!
