Leather pants are my favourite piece of all time, when it comes to Autumn fashion staples – they are always making its’ way back during the colder seasons. Not only it makes them the absolute best investment in your wardrobe (I would bravely compare it to the classic trench coat), they are also incredibly easy to style!
Not only that, leather trousers are very versatile when it comes to seasons. I love to reach for them even in Summer, when weather is colder or during chilly August night dates. Leather pants go hand in hand with absolutely any type of shoe. Trainers and flat slip-ons during casual days and heeled mules, boots and heeled sandals (like below) for more dress-up occasions. I love adding a subtle grunge vibes to a simple tank top look. Leather pants elevate simple looks as well as oversized blazer outfits, which inspired me to style my leather pants to a more professional occasion.

How to style leather trousers at the office?
Well, the question is quite risky. It really depends on the environment you’re working in – if it’s really strict corporate world you’re in, I would definitely double check dress code restrictions – worst case scenario you may still rock leather pants on the casual dress days.
Extra tip, when it comes to leather trousers at the office is avoiding skinny fits. Loose leg or relaxed fit leather pants are way more appropriate and look more professional. I styled them with oversized collared shirt and added an extra masculine piece – oversized blazer (mine thrifted). I elevated the look with chunky jewellery – feminine yet strong, and strappy heeled sandals with square toes from A.W.A.K.E MODE (similar from Bottega Veneta here). To break down the black and white shades in the overall outfit, I chose a caramel brown leather Moon Bag from Staud.
In Autumn-Winter seasons, I would reach for black leather ankle boots.
Leather trousers are also a great way to transition your outfit from office-appropriate to after 5pm drinks with your co-workers. Simply add a pop of colour, as subtle as red lip and you’re ready to go!
Summary:
1. Choose looser fits when it comes to leather trousers.
2. Aim for feminine accessories to break down the masculinity.
3. Open toe mid-heeled shoes work great with leather pants. Either heeled sandals or mules are a perfect combination.
4. Don’t be afraid of total oversized look.
