Blush Rush! Best blushes of 2021

Best Blushes of 2021 Review

There’s no better timing to try over-the-top blush trend – the Spring is comming (slowly, but surely) and blushes will become the most important product in our make-up bags next seasons. A good blush will not only make you look more alive, just like after a good work-out session, but will definitely bring some youthful sparkle on your face, which we all need after the long Winter.

I've been trying the top-ranked products, powder, cream and liquid, to find the best and not so best blushes!

I tried LIP + CHEEK cream blush in shade Werk for the first time a few years ago and it’s the one I’m constantly coming back to. It never disappointed me once and it’s perfectly balanced – not too sheer, not too strong, buildable and very easy to apply. It blends smoothly even on top of the powder and is easy to re-apply.

I was very excited to get my hands on Fenty cream blush, because yeah – Rihanna. I choose the Strawberry Drip, as I wanted a vibrant variation of a cream blush. The first issue I had was the size of the product – it’s very, very tiny. I know that expired make-up that is thrown out every year is a big issue. Still, that’s a small amount of product for this price. It also doesn’t work well – every time I wore it, it gave me a very strange sweat-like glow on my face. Not a fan in the slightest.

Hourglass Ambient Blush is a perfect combination of a very subtle highlight and a strong pigment. This blush gives me the most perfect flush on my cheeks and nose (I choose it in Luminous Flush). Thanks to its’ glimmer, it makes my cheeks look optically higher and more plumped. It’s an investment, but a little goes a long way. Plus they offer a travel-sized version, which I’m very tempted to try.

I was so excited to hear that the queen of flawless complexion, Jamie Genevieve started a new make-up brand! When she released the Sunset Blushes, I immediately ordered two shades and let me say I was not disappointed! It’s the best formula of matte blushes I have used so far and the pigment is soo rich. Plus, this blush is extra easy to blend and build. And this range of shades – just exactly what I would expect from a make-up brand in 2021!

Iconic London Sheer Blush

Looking at my very up and down history with Iconic London and many more bad makeup looks than good ones, I decided to try out their liquid Sheer Blush anyways. Unfortunately, it literally takes my foundation off. I tried different kinds of application – with my fingers, make-up sponge, different brushes which usually work well with liquids, even different foundations – nothing helped!

Your Favourite Lipstick

In the picture: Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick. Last but not least, my little extra tip for achieving a juicy blush rush is something that you already have in your make-up bag –  lipstick. Either used under a sheer foundation or applied on your cheeks with fingers, it creates a healthy sultry look without spending extra money and having yet another product.

What are your favourite blushes this season? What are your best tips when it comes to applying? Let me know in the comment section!
